Mirror Break

Had a bit of a lapse in writing of late - been concentrating hard on the course... I've been pondering the worldly ways of these two delightful specimens of entertainment for an essay on gender & media. Their very appearance on the screen induces me into fits of screaming and swearing at the telly. I have attempted to channel this energy into a shape - the product of this is below...

Mirror Break

Like good friends, almost.
Their arms wrapped
Protectively
Around your empty shell.

Looking back
From a circled angle;
Noting splits
In your resistant armour,
They tear your flesh from bone;
Limb, by imperfect limb
To remodel you;

A reflection
To be proud of.
