Poet's Tea

Awake

Funny how
The night cars
Slip by,

An urban tide,
Drowning the night.

  • I've just posted you a poem, having been disturbed by the rattle I heard in your night. Good to see you back!

  • Thanks so much Russell, that captures the slipping away so well. A poetry conversation.

I also really like 'Darkness' (especially
    'So pull the unseen darkness
    Around you like a blanket.'

and Four Postcards' is great, especially the last stanza, which I've read about 10 times already :o)

Thanks - it's good to be back, decided it was time to stop making excuses for 'not getting around to' writing and just get going again. It's like waking up!
